Terms of service
TODO: draft for review by a lawyer before the first paying customer. Not legal advice.
Effective TODO: effective date once a lawyer has reviewed it. Last updated 20 October 2026.
These terms are the agreement between your business and us for using Manskap. They are written in plain English on purpose. Please read them before you hire a role or start a free check.
You accept these terms when you tick "I agree to the terms" at checkout (in stage 0, on our Stripe payment page), or when you sign our data processing agreement for a free check, whichever comes first.
1. Who we are and who this is for
Manskap is run by Deal Baker Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 14906367, registered office International House, 64 Nile Street, London, N1 7SR, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). "You" means the business that signs up.
Manskap is for businesses only. You must be a business (a company, LLP or US entity such as an LLC or corporation) acting for business purposes, not a consumer. Sole traders and ordinary partnerships in the UK cannot sign up. US sole proprietors can, when they buy for their business. Consumer protection laws that apply only to consumers do not apply to these terms. We offer Manskap only in the United States and the United Kingdom. The person who signs up confirms they can bind the business.
We send notices to the email address on your account. Send notices to us at [email protected], or about personal data to [email protected]. An email notice counts from when it is sent, unless it bounces.
2. What Manskap does
Manskap gives your firm hosted AI roles that work in the tools you already use: Client Follow-through, Chief of Staff, Front Desk (email only), New-Business Prospector and Recruiting Coordinator. What each role reads, writes and sends is on our data handling page. A role works only in the tools you connect.
Stage 0 is hand-run. Today there is no app. The founder, Mykola, runs each role by hand with Claude on top of your tools. Drafts reach you by email, and he makes the approved changes himself and logs them. From stage 1, the app takes over one role at a time, as each role passes its tests.
3. Approvals and undo
- Every email a role writes waits for approval by you or someone you allow to approve. You see the full text and can approve, edit then approve, or reject.
- In stage 0, every change in your tools also waits for your approval.
- In the app, internal changes in your own tools that can be undone (a CRM task, for example) may apply on their own, as the data handling page says. Anything that cannot be undone waits for you.
- In stage 0, ask and Mykola reverses the change by hand where the tool allows it. In the app, you can undo a run yourself where the tool allows it. Some things cannot be undone, such as a sent email, a note in your applicant tracking system or a meeting someone has booked. The full list is at what can be undone.
An approval is your instruction to us. You are responsible for what you approve, including every email sent.
4. Free read-only check
Before you buy, we can run a free check on one role. It is read-only: nothing is written to your tools and nothing is sent. You get one page showing what the role would have done. If the check needs personal data, we sign our data processing agreement with you first. We delete our copies within 7 days of sending you the result and confirm deletion in writing. Anthropic deletes stage-0 Claude chats within a further 30 days. A free check has no charge and no obligation to buy. These terms apply to a free check.
5. Price and billing
- $49 per role per month, in US dollars.
- Billed monthly in advance, by card, through Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each month, and we charge your card on the same date, until you cancel under section 6.
- Each role you hire adds 100 completed tasks a month to one allowance shared across your firm. Three roles give 300 tasks, used by any role.
- A completed task is one item you approve (or one we let apply on its own) that then runs successfully. We do not bill rejected drafts, failed or retried runs, undone runs, summaries or the free check. If you undo a run, we credit its task back. One approval is one task, however many changes it makes (for example a note plus two CRM tasks). Unused allowance does not carry over to the next month.
- Overage: beyond your allowance, $0.25 per completed task. The cap limits overage to $25 a month by default, which is 100 extra tasks. You can raise or lower it. At the cap, runs are held, not done and not billed, and in the app they are shown in your inbox as "Cap reached: run held". They are never silently dropped. Held runs go ahead as soon as you raise the cap, or otherwise when the next month's allowance starts. Overage is billed in arrears, as one line on your next monthly invoice.
- Stage 0: the same $49 per role per month, paid upfront. You get drafts each weekday and 100 approved tasks a month per role, pooled across your firm, with no overage. After the last task in a month, new drafts wait for the next month.
- Taxes: Deal Baker Ltd is not registered for UK VAT, so we charge no VAT and UK prices are final. We do not currently charge US sales tax. If we must register for VAT or a US state's sales tax, we will add it to later invoices after at least 30 days' email notice.
Founding offer
For the first 25 firms, counting stage-0 customers: the first month is free, then $49 per role is locked for 12 months from the first paid month. Roles you add during those 12 months are also $49, locked until the same end date. Any overage in the free month is billed. There is no free month in stage 0, so for stage-0 customers the 12 months start with their first payment. After the 12 months, normal prices apply, with 30 days' notice of any change.
Partners
Agencies and freelancers who resell roles buy them under a separate partner agreement, not these terms. TODO: partner agreement
Price changes
We will email you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect. A founding price lock is honoured for its full 12 months. If you cancel before a price change takes effect, you pay the old price until your cancellation takes effect.
Late payment
If a payment fails, Stripe retries it, and we email you on day 1 and day 7. If it is still unpaid after 14 days, we pause your roles under section 12. We keep your data, and roles resume as soon as you pay.
6. Cancelling and ending
- You can cancel a role, or Manskap as a whole, at any time by email to [email protected]. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for. We do not give partial refunds, except that if you end the agreement because we seriously broke it, or under the subprocessor objection below, or if we end it under the next point, we refund the fees you paid for the unused part of the month.
- We may end a role, or the agreement, on 30 days' email notice.
- Either of us may end this agreement by notice if the other seriously breaks it and has not fixed it within 14 days of being told.
- You may also end an affected role, or the agreement, without penalty if you object to a new subprocessor and we cannot solve it, as our data processing agreement says.
- When you leave, we delete your data in our systems within 30 days (or within 7 days if you ask in writing), as our deletion section and data processing agreement say, and Google tokens the same day. We confirm deletion in writing. You may ask for a copy first. Your data in your own tools stays yours. We keep invoices as long as UK company and tax law requires.
7. Your responsibilities
- Lawful basis. You confirm you have a lawful basis for the personal data you give us or let us reach, and that you have told the people concerned what they need to know, including that AI helps draft.
- Your tools. You must follow the terms of the tools you connect, and have the right to connect them. You choose which tools to connect and can revoke access at any time.
- Your account. Keep your logins and API keys safe. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use Manskap:
- to send spam, bulk email or automatic sequences;
- for outreach that breaks the law where the recipient is, including marketing and anti-spam law;
- to screen, rank or decide about people using special category data (such as health, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation) or criminal offence data. Do not send us such data on purpose;
- for anything unlawful, deceptive or harmful, or to break the rights of others;
- to probe, overload or get around the limits or security of our service.
9. AI output
Roles use AI (Claude, from Anthropic) to read and draft. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. That is why you review every email, and every change that does not apply on its own, before you approve it. No role decides anything about a person on its own. For example, the Recruiting Coordinator suggests a short list; you decide who to interview or hire. Manskap does not give legal, financial, medical or other regulated advice.
10. Your data and our service
- Yours: you own your data and everything a role produces for you, such as drafts, notes and emails. You give us the right to use them only to provide the service to you.
- Ours: we own Manskap itself: the software, roles, methods and site. You get the right to use it while you are a customer. You must not copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.
- We never use your data to train AI models, and we never sell it.
- We never keep your content as a test case unless you agree in writing.
- If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely.
11. Data protection
For personal data in your tools, you are the controller and we are your processor. Our data processing agreement (UK GDPR Article 28) forms part of these terms. We sign it with you before we touch personal data in your tools, including for a free check. It explains how stage 0 uses Claude through the founder's own Claude plan, where Anthropic acts as a separate controller and deletes chats within 30 days of the founder deleting them, with the exceptions the agreement lists. You can refuse, but then we cannot run a check or a role for you in stage 0. If the data processing agreement conflicts with these terms, the data processing agreement wins.
For your account and billing data we are the controller; see our privacy policy. Ask for a copy of the data processing agreement at [email protected].
12. Suspension
We may suspend a role, or your account, if you do not pay, or if you break section 8 or use Manskap in a way that puts others, our providers or us at risk. We will email you first and give you a chance to fix it, unless the harm is serious or the law requires us to act at once. We lift the suspension once the problem is fixed. For non-payment, we pause roles only after the 14 days in section 5.
13. Warranties
We will provide Manskap with reasonable skill and care. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that AI output will be correct, or that it will produce any business result. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all other warranties, conditions and terms, whether implied by statute, common law or otherwise, including any implied warranty of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
14. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
- Neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill, however it arises. This does not limit your duty to pay fees, your liability for breaking section 8, or our duties under the data processing agreement.
- Our total liability to you, in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, arising under or in connection with these terms or the data processing agreement, is limited to the greater of (a) the fees paid or payable by you in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim and (b) US$5,000.
- We are not liable for the acts of the tools you connect, or for the content of anything you approved, unless we did not carry it out as you approved it.
- We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
TODO: lawyer to confirm whether data protection breaches need a separate cap, and whether US customers need different wording
15. Changes
We may change these terms. We will email you at least 30 days before a change takes effect and post it here with a new date at the top. If you keep using Manskap after that date, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel before that date; the old terms then apply until your cancellation takes effect. Changes to our data processing agreement must be in writing, as it says.
16. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. However, either of us may seek urgent relief, and we may claim unpaid fees, in the courts where the other is based. If you have a complaint or dispute, please tell us first at [email protected] and we will try to solve it with you.
These terms, the data processing agreement (including the parts of our data handling page it refers to) and the roles you hire are the whole agreement between us. If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. You may not transfer this agreement without our written consent. We may transfer it as part of a merger or sale of the business, with notice to you.
